HAESO is a newly formed nonprofit currently preparing for our first school-based support project in Lesotho.
We are setting up initial projects by working with trusted local contacts in multiple locations to identify the most immediate needs, confirm project details, and develop clear plans for using donations responsibly and effectively. Our first efforts are expected to focus on practical support for children and school communities, such as classroom heaters, winter clothing, learning needs, or other essential school-based assistance.
As we build our foundation, every donation helps move HAESO closer to launching our first project and creating a reliable path for long-term support in Lesotho.

HAESO Mission Alignment:
Classroom Heaters - Supports the health and wellbeing of learners by providing safe and comfortable conditions to learn in during the winter months of Lesotho.
School Printer - Supports learners’ education by expanding access to printed instructional materials and individualized learning resources.
Learners Expected to Benefit: Approximately 220 learners
Estimated Cost: Pending local quotations
Materials: fourteen electric heaters, one school printer, initial and replacement ink supplies, printer paper, and any electrical or connectivity improvements identified through local assessment.
Consumable Funding Support: Pending
Transportation: Pending
Transaction Fees: Pending
Sustainability Pathway:
Equipment Operation and Maintenance: The principal is familiar with the routine operation and basic upkeep of the heaters and printer. A second community representative with similar familiarity has also been identified to provide support when needed.
Consumable Costs and Repairs: Schools in Lesotho receive government operating funds intended to support general school expenses, including consumable supplies and routine repairs. Because HAESO supported projects may introduce new recurring costs, HAESO will provide an initial lump sum contribution to help the school absorb increased expenses such as electricity, consumable supplies, and anticipated maintenance. This support is intended to ease the transition and establish the project, while ongoing operating and maintenance costs are expected to be incorporated into the school’s normal budgeting and available resources.
Additional 2027 projects will be published as local needs, budgets, and approvals are confirmed.
