Our Mission

HAESO exists to support the health, education, safety, and overall wellbeing of children and school communities in Lesotho.

We work with trusted local schools and community contacts to help meet practical needs that allow children to learn, grow, and thrive. This may include support for clothing, food and nutrition, school fees, learning materials, transportation, facility improvements, emergency needs, and other forms of school-based assistance.

Our goal is simple: connect support from donors to real needs in Lesotho with care, accountability, and respect for the communities we serve.

Before HAESO: Peace Corps Service 

These photos are from projects our board members participated in during their Peace Corps service in Lesotho, before HAESO was formed. Their experience working alongside local schools and communities helped shape HAESO’s mission and the decision to continue supporting children and schools in Lesotho after their Peace Corps service ended.
